IN DECEMBER 2022, RACHEL GRADUATED IN PHOTOGRAPHY AT Universidade BELAS ARTS DE SaO PAULO. her FINAL WORK was THE SERIES "blue pill, red pill" WHICH WAS EXHIBITED AT THE COLLECTIBLES EXHIBITION.
This series was based on postcards from the city of Sao Paulo. In postcards, the photos are usually very old and do not show the reality of the city today. The idea, then, was to compare the old and the current; the fantasy of cards, and the harsh reality of everyday life.
To get the effect of the blue pill and the red pill, glasses are the means. With the blue lens glasses you can see the old; the "false reality". Already with the red lens glasses, you see the real thing, something that is difficult to face, but it is necessary.
